Automatic changeover with current limiter (ACCL)

When mains power fails, the ACCL moves the load to the generator without anyone touching a switch, and moves it back the moment mains returns.

Key benefits

01
Automatic switchingLoad moves between mains and DG on its own, and back when mains returns.
02
Current limitingEach connection is held to its permitted load on backup.
03
Safe interlockingMicrocontroller interlocking prevents both sources being connected at once.
04
Remote monitoringRS485 link to the web and app platform.
Overview

Manual changeover switches depend on someone being there, and a mistake can back-feed the grid or overload the generator. Syctech ACCL units switch automatically with microcontroller-based interlocking, and limit the current each connection can draw on backup.

The design reduces wear on the contactor and gives clear LED indication of which source is live. Units can report to the Syctech platform over RS485 for remote monitoring.

Questions and answers

Automatic changeover with current limiter (ACCL): common questions

What is an ACCL?

An automatic changeover with current limiter (ACCL) moves the electrical load from mains to generator when mains fails, limits the current each connection can draw on backup, and switches back when mains returns.

Which ratings are available?

Single phase to single phase: 30 A, 45 A, 50 A, 63 A (DP) and 100 A. Three phase to three phase and single phase to three phase: 32 A to 63 A and 70 A to 125 A (FP).

What is the operating voltage of the Syctech ACCL?

130 V to 280 V, with LED indication of whether mains or generator is live.

Can an ACCL be monitored remotely?

Yes. Syctech ACCL units can report to the Syctech platform over RS485 for remote monitoring on the web and in the app.
